The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, on 7 February 2026, led the Tanzanian delegation in bilateral talks with the Ugandan delegation, headed by the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, at the State House in Dar es Salaam.
The high-level discussions focused on strengthening Tanzania–Uganda bilateral relations, deepening cooperation in key sectors including energy, trade, and infrastructure, and advancing shared regional development priorities. The talks also addressed regional and international issues of mutual interest, in line with the broader goals of East African integration.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong partnership between Tanzania and Uganda and highlighted the commitment of both governments to enhancing collaboration for sustainable development and regional stability.
Dar es Salaam — The United Republic of Tanzania has warmly welcomed H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, on his official visit to the country.
The visit reflects the long-standing brotherly relations and strong cooperation between Tanzania and Uganda, founded on shared history, regional solidarity, and mutual commitment to peace, stability, and socio-economic development within the East African Community and the wider region.
During the visit, the two countries are expected to engage in discussions aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors of mutual interest.

Mara baada ya kuwasili katika Uwanja wa Ndege wa Kimataifa wa Julius Nyerere, Mhe. Waziri Mkuu Abiy amepokelewa na Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Afrika Mashariki, Mhe. January Makamba.
Mhe. Dkt. Abiy atapokelewa rasmi na mwenyeji wake Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, Mhe. Dkt. Samia Suluhu Hassan, Ikulu jijini Dar es Salaam tarehe 01 Machi 2024.
Pamoja na mambo mengine ziara ya Waziri Mkuu Abiy inalenga kuimarisha ushirikiano baina ya Tanzania na Ethiopia katika maeneo ya kimkakati ikiwemo usafirishaji kwa njia ya anga, nishati, kilimo na mifugo, biashara na uwekezaji na Ushirikiano katika sekta za elimu, uhamiaji, na ulinzi na usalama
