Tanzania–United States Relations Strengthened Through High-Level Diplomatic and Business Engagements

As part of ongoing engagements with key stakeholders aimed at strengthening relations between the United Republic of Tanzania and the United States of America, Hon. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo (MP), Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, held bilateral discussions with Hon. Jonathan L. Jackson, a Member of the United States House of Representatives and a Member of its Subcommittee on Africa.

During the meeting, the two sides underscored the importance of further enhancing bilateral relations between Tanzania and the United States. Hon. Jackson also expressed his keen interest in visiting Tanzania to gain deeper insight into the country’s people, history, culture, and diverse attractions.

Following this high-level engagement, the Hon. Minister held separate discussions with representatives of American companies operating in Tanzania, together with the leadership of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The discussions focused on strengthening trade, investment, and broader economic cooperation between Tanzania and the United States
