Tanzania, Egypt Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation as Ministers Hold High-Level Talks in Cairo.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, together with the Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Hon. Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi, held talks with Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industrial Development and Transport, Hon. Kamel Al-Wazir, on December 18, 2025, at his offices in the Administrative Capital City in Cairo, Egypt.

During the meeting, the ministers agreed to strengthen and expand cooperation in key sectors, including transport, agriculture, and industrial development.

Building on the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, Hon. Ambassador Kombo reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to continued collaboration with Egypt across various fields for the mutual benefit of both nations.

For his part, Hon. Deputy Prime Minister Kamel briefed Hon. Kombo on Egypt’s intention to establish large-scale industries in the Kwala area of Tanzania’s Coast Region, citing Tanzania’s favorable investment policies and ongoing improvements in infrastructure, which provide a stable and attractive environment for investors.
