President Samia Receives Diaspora-Supported Jeep Wrangler to Boost Tanzania Tourism Promotion

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has received the key to a Jeep Wrangler from Mr. Khalid Al Barwani, representing the commitment of Tanzanians living in the Sultanate of Oman to support the promotion of Tanzania’s tourism worldwide.

The vehicle was used during a regional tour by Tanzanians in Oman aimed at supporting President Samia’s initiative to market Tanzania internationally through the globally acclaimed film _“Tanzania: The Royal Tour.” The tour helped amplify Tanzania’s tourism profile across the Middle East and East Africa, positioning the country as a leading global destination.

The symbolic handover took place at State House, Tunguu, Zanzibar, underscoring the growing role of the Tanzanian diaspora in advancing tourism diplomacy and strengthening the country’s international image.

President Samia commended the diaspora for their patriotic contribution and reaffirmed the Government’s recognition of Tanzanians abroad as key partners in promoting sustainable tourism, investment, and national development.
