Addis Ababa, Ethiopia | 15 February 2026 — H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, today departed Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, concluding her four-day official working visit to the country.
During her visit, President Samia participated in the African Union (AU) Summit of Heads of State and Government held on 14–15 February 2026. The Summit convened African leaders to deliberate on key continental priorities, including peace and security, institutional reform, health, and sustainable development.
President Samia’s participation reaffirmed Tanzania’s continued commitment to advancing Africa’s shared agenda under the framework of the African Union and strengthening multilateral cooperation across the continent.
She has since returned to the United Republic of Tanzania following the successful conclusion of her engagements.
