
Lushoto, Tanga Region — Seven Cabinet Ministers have convened with community representatives from Kilindi and Handeni Districts in Tanga Region to formulate coordinated and sustainable solutions to issues raised during the recent outreach visit of the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba.
The high-level consultative meeting was chaired by the Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Hon. Dr. Ashatu Kijaji (MP), and brought together Ministers from the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI), as well as the Ministries of Agriculture; Livestock and Fisheries; Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development; and Finance.
Representatives from Mswaki Village (Kilindi District) and Msomera Village in Misima Ward (Handeni District) participated in the session, presenting key community concerns and development priorities.
Prime Minister Dr. Nchemba had directed the Ministers to engage directly with the affected communities to ensure timely responses to grievances and to design practical implementation strategies.
The meeting was also attended by the Regional Commissioner for Manyara, Hon. Queen Sendiga, representatives of Permanent Secretaries from the respective Ministries, senior government officials, and technical experts.
The engagement reflects the Government’s commitment to inclusive governance, strengthened inter-ministerial coordination, and responsive leadership in advancing regional development and addressing citizens’ priorities.
