Tanzania Participates in 356th ILO Governing Body Meeting in Geneva, Switzerland

The United Republic of Tanzania is participating in the 356th Governing Body meeting of the International Labour Organization (ILO), currently underway in Geneva, Switzerland.

As a member state of the ILO, Tanzania is actively engaging in discussions focused on labour standards, employment creation, and industrial relations at the global level.

The Tanzanian delegation is led by the Deputy Permanent Secretary from the Prime Minister’s Office – Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations, Ms. Zuhura Yunus.

The high-level meeting brings together representatives from governments, employers, and workers’ organizations from across the world to deliberate on key labour issues, including decent work, social protection, and workforce development.

Tanzania’s participation reflects its continued commitment to promoting fair labour practices, strengthening employment opportunities, and aligning national policies with international labour standards.

The International Labour Organization plays a crucial role in shaping global labour policies and fostering dialogue among member states to ensure inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
