
President H.E. Dr. William Ruto today held high-level bilateral talks with President H.E. Brice Oligui Nguema at State House Nairobi on the sidelines of the Africa Forward Summit, reaffirming the growing strategic partnership between Kenya and Gabon.
The two leaders emphasized that unity among African nations remains fundamental to securing the continent’s future, underscoring the importance of visionary leadership, regional solidarity, and African-led solutions to Africa’s challenges.
Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in education through expanded scholarship opportunities, technical and vocational training, and academic exchange programmes aimed at equipping young people with skills necessary to drive Africa’s economic transformation and innovation agenda.
The leaders also reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing peace, security, and stability across the continent through African-led initiatives designed to silence conflict, protect civilians, and promote dialogue and sustainable development.
Kenya and Gabon further pledged to strengthen collaboration with the African Union in supporting mediation efforts and advancing lasting peace in the Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa.
During the meeting, President Ruto also sought President Nguema’s support for Kenya’s candidate for Judge of the International Criminal Court, Supreme Court Judge Njoki Ndung’u.
