The award, presented on her behalf during the World Environment Day celebrations in Dodoma, highlights her administration’s significant contribution to sustainable environmental management and climate resilience.
Kilombero District has commemorated World Environment Day by planting 1,000 trees under the national campaign “Vision 2050: Greening Tanzania.” The initiative, led by the Tanzania Forest Services Agency (TFS), underscores the district’s commitment to environmental conservation, climate resilience, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable development.
TFS Commissioner Prof. Dos Santos Silayo has called for responsive leadership, improved youth working conditions, and stronger conflict management to enhance sustainable forest conservation in Tanzania.
